This is my 17th year in the district. I received my Bachelors of Music Education from Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. I have three sons: Rory, who is a teacher in Baltic, SD; Reece, who is a hair stylist in San Diego, CA; and Tanner, who is a Marine, stationed at 29Palms, CA. I enjoy listening to live music, reading, and any activity that involves family and friends. My favorite part of teaching is instilling the joy and wonder of music in children.

This is my first year teaching! I grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School in 2011. This past spring I received a BA in Physical Education, Health Education, and All-Grades Education from Augustana University.I have a younger brother, Zach, and a younger sister, Abbie. I coach freshmen football at Lincoln High School and spend time coaching athletes of all ages at the Riggs Football Academy. I enjoy sports and being outside. My favorite part of teaching is witnessing students master new skills.

I am from Montrose, SD, and started as "Lunch Lady" at Jane Addams in 1990.
My husband Jerry and I have four children and eight grandchildren. We have a good time going to the many activities they participate in.
I enjoy working and being around the people and students at school.

Sarah Oetken, Librarian
I graduated from Augustana University (formerly Augustana College) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. Currently, I am working on my Master of Library and Information Science degree through Texan Woman's University. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, reading books, crocheting, and tea parties.

Nancy Vos, Library Assistant
I began working for the Sioux Falls School District as an Education Assistant in 1990, and have been in the Jane Addams building since 1991. I like that I get to see all of the students each week when they come to the library, and every day at lunch. In my spare time I enjoy reading, walking and riding bike. My family includes my husband, two children, a son-in-law and two grandchildren.

Cheryl Rath, Education Assistant
This is my fifth year at Jane Addams Elementary. Prior to working for the school district, I spent many years in banking helping students and their parents secure federal student loans. I have one daughter and she is a grad student in Washington, D.C. In 2017, she will be ordained as an Episcopal priest.

Andrew Travers, Orchestra Teacher
I began learning cello in 5th grade at Mark Twain Elementary School. I did summer camps as a student at Strings in the Mountains in Colorado and Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan. I received a BA in Music and a BS in Education from UConn and my MM from Boston U. I taught in Las Vegas for 8 years and I've lived in Sioux Falls with my wife and two boys since 2010. Outside of music my favorite thing to do is play video games!
