After growing up in rural South Dakota, I attended Augustana College, graduating with a major in Elementary/Special Education and a minor in Music.  For the past 31 years, I have served students in the Sioux Falls School District. The three people who inspire me most are my sons, Luke, Alex, and Will. While reading, outdoor activities, music and coffee with friends are all things I enjoy, nothing is better than spending time with my husband and children. In whatever role I am serving, I want to instill in students a thought from John Wooden: Don’t let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you can do.

Teaching Staff

I am starting my 19th year of teaching!  I grew up as an only child in Rugby, ND, where both my parents were educators as well.  I moved to Sioux Falls where I met my husband, Brett, who draws diagrams to build fire trucks.  I have three amazing children.  Kyle (12) Jenna (8) and our bonus baby, Lauryn (19 months). I enjoy seeing my students accomplish things beyond what they thought they could do! My favorite activities include playing games with my family, reading and watching reality TV.

I grew up on a dairy farm in Mills, Ne.  In 1993 I graduated high school but took a year off before attending a university.  I received my elementary education degree from Sinte Gleska University in May of 1999.  My husband Allan and I were blessed with three amazing children.   Skyler (21), Kylie (17), and Ashtyn (15).  I have been teaching in the Sioux Falls School District for three years now.  This will be my 17th year of teaching.  I have taught in first, second, third, and fourth grade.  My favorite thing about teaching are the hugs, memories, and friendships made through out the school year.  I enjoy reading, listening to music, vacationing, shopping, coffee, and spending time with my family and friends.

I am a 1999 Parker graduate and attended Mount Marty College to get my elementary and coaching degrees. In May of 2016, I graduated USF with my masters as a reading specialist.  This is my fourth year in third grade at ACE.  I love working with young minds!  It is so inspiring to see them learn and grow each and everyday!  Since my mom passed away of breast cancer, it has been my passion to bring awareness to others!  I enjoy doing walks, fundraisers, etc. in loving memory of my mom and grandma. I love to travel, play sports, go to concerts, read, and spend time with my friends and family.

I am an only child and grew up in Sioux Falls.  I graduated from Lincoln High School, and attended Dakota State University to earn my degree in elementary education and minor in technology.  My husband Rhyan and I have 3 children; 2 boys and a girl. In the summer we love to hang out at the pool, garden and go to the drive in.  In the winter we snuggle by the fireplace to play games and watch movies.

I graduated from Hamlin High School in 2003.  I received a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Sioux Falls before returning recently and receiving a  Master's in Educational Leadership.  This year marks my 8th year of teaching.  I enjoy teaching because each day and year is something new and I love being around children.  Ienjoy the simple things about kids such as their imaginations and stories that they share with me.

I enjoy anything I get to do with my family and watching my own children as well as my school 'children' learn and grow.I live in a house full of boys including, my husband, Tanner and 2 boys; Cameron and Jackson.

I started my education at USD in Vermillion SD and finished it with Buena Vista University in Storm Lake Iowa.   I am glad to be in kindergarten as I love the spirit and enthusiasm kindergarteners have!  My favorite thing about kindergarten is truly seeing the growth from the first day of school to the last! My passions are my family, biking, and golfing. But my granddaughters steal my heart!

My husband, Kevin, and I have been blessed with four wonderful children.
